Susie Caffey
Susie Caffey, a Birmingham native, holds a BA from Furman University in Studio Art and an MA in Art Education from the University of Montevallo. She worked for seven years in Corporate Sales for the Maralyn Wilson Gallery in Mountain Brook before beginning a 25-year career in Art education, serving five years at Shelby County High School in Columbiana and twenty years at Vestavia Hills Elementary Central. She taught drawing and ceramics at the Alabama Folk School at Camp McDowell, Space One Eleven in Birmingham, and The Fine Arts Academy at Riverchase United Methodist Church. She is an active member of Mountain Brook Art Association, currently serving as Secretary, and President-elect for 2025. She recently retired as Assistant Program Coordinator at Founders Place Respite Ministry at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
